Our Sales Administration Department at the Triumph office in Chennai, India is looking immediately for a highly motivated

 

 

                      Manager - Inventory & Planning - IN 

 

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

Inventory and Demand Planning:

  • Support local management in a) setting up budgets for individual styles and product segments via in-depth analysis of style performance and sales trends and b) the implementation of budget control processes
  • Create and maintain forecast models that incorporate business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing and finance
  • Present, solicit, and assess feedback on the various forecasts from sales and recommend adjustments for demand forecasts to the management
  • Review promotional plans with sales and marketing departments and collaboratively work out course corrections, if any, to achieve KPI’s and manage stock and PLC in a healthy and strong manner
  • Closely coordinate with counter parts in Product Management to assess novelty order requirement and capacity and reach consensus on maintenance of running range vis-à-vis novelty range, in line with annual sales budgets and all KPI’s, ensuring overall OTB is adhered to and novelty buying will not clash with the required replenishments for the running range
  • Communicate local key decisions on running range, plus sales trends with subsequent procurement adjustments to the regional team for alignment on order placements and to provide supply chain with the correct information to further plan on how to meet country product requirements
  • Monitor stock delivery by PC to ensure timely delivery (and update the sales team in case of any deviations)

Sales Analysis:

  • Tracking budget vs. actuals on continuous basis with monthly reporting to management on achievements and regular communication to sales teams as support means to manage their targets and ensure KPI alignment
  • Lead the dialogue and coordinate with sales teams on all monthly action and promotion planning to correct buying and replenishments of styles and support with transparent and timely information for best decision-taking
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data and evaluate forecast results on ongoing basis while interacting with sales and marketing departments to understand business drivers
  • Provide sales teams with overviews on regional / sales channel product approaches and result comparison to improve performance and ensure best possible brand and product presentation
  • Support traditional wholesale in the set-up, management and analysis of correct merchandising and strong stock management for key customers on basis of product sales trends and market intelligence gathered
  • Lead trainings / information update sessions on PLC analysis with formulation of action plans
  • Update and maintain high-level customer-relevant data on store and retailer / account basis for correct trends analysis and understanding of strengths and weaknesses towards product segments, styles, sizes, colors etc. (with monthly reports to management) that will enable optimized sell-through rate
  • Conduct LFL comparisons and provide comprehensive feedback and recommendations on performance
  • Review results of action plans put forward “before and after” to assess performance increase and evaluate the necessity and success probability of future action plans
  • Furnish market intelligence reports on market environment, competitive situation etc. to enable the company to be one step ahead of the competition
  • Detect and advise opportunities and threats facing the organization to enable it to adjust its strategies accordingly

Support global reporting to senior management

  • Compile quarterly (monthly) reporting package on time and with high quality standards
  • Further improve (and extend) the reporting package
  • Create and analyze ad-hoc reports as required by the business

Ensure high data quality in all processes of analysis and controlling:

  • Implement and perform monthly / quarterly data checks
  • Support implementation of quality improvement processes

Analysis & Recommendations:

  • LFL comparison for all sales channels (store level) and provide comprehensive feedback/recommendation of the stores performance and next course of action to be taken

          

Your ideal profile:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Demand Planning and Merchandising
  • Any industry is fine
  • Should be based in Chennai
  • Full knowledge in excel and fluent in English
