Our Buying and Merchandising Department at the Shanghai in China is looking immediately for a highly motivated

 

 

                        Head of Buying and Merchandising(f/m) (working 100%)

 

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

             Product Assortment (strategy/plan/tracking):

    • Work with Regional Brand team to develop and execute product assortment strategies & concept plans of all products based on key consumer needs platforms.
      • Work with demand planning manager to place orders according to sales feedback, market requirement channel requirement and allocation cluster.
      • Monitor and supervisor team members to implement daily, monthly, quarterly product management process to closely tracking product launch status and increase product productivity.
      • Work with Regional Brand team to establish product data base, including product launch calendar, monthly sales analysis, main concept sales tracking report, MI tracking report, running styles library, hero pattern library as well as key series size breakdown library.
      • Host internal fitting section with assortment and training team to understand product knowhow.
      • Drive consumer insight understanding from each region through data analysis, market visit and regular sales meetings.

Pricing:

      • Pricing strategy based on different channel, consumer profile and product life cycle.
      • Price range analysis vs competitor.
      • Pricing execution and MI control.

Promotion:

      • Initiate and execute annual and monthly promotion plans including channel specific promotions, cluster specific product allocation.
      • Develop & implement annual by region giveaway plan to support various promotions and department stores’ anniversaries.
      • Implement short term/ ad-hoc promotional activities to ensure monthly targets are being met

Place:

      • Product allocation strategy and plan.
      • Competition analysis
      • Collecting key competitor information including brand strategy, new product benefit, price range.
      • Annual Commercial plan and Strategies
      • Budget by brand/platforms
      • Key initiatives.

 

 

Job Requirements PERSONAL QUALITIES

 

    • Strategic thinker who recognizes opportunities and can influence decision makers to move to execution;
    • Strong product sense with proven experience in driving product assortments to conceive product concepts that drive business;
    • Strong problem solving, interpersonal and organizational skills;
    • High level of analytical skills and conceptual creative ability;
    • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills;
    • Strong leader who can inspire and motivate teams.       

Your ideal profile:

  • PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

    • 10+ years of merchandising experience in Apparel/ Fashion retail industry;
    • Strategic planning capability on buying and merchandising management;
    • Strong understanding of China consumer taste and preferences.
    • Strong academic background with education from one of the premier Thai or International Schools.
