Our IT SSC Department located at the office in Munich (Germany) is looking for a highly motivated 

 

                 Head of Service Operations (f/m/d) (100%)

              

 Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Working with IT and executive leadership to establish a strategy for ensuring a stable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure
  • Managing daily IT infrastructure operations to ensure high availability, including job, event log, and data center monitoring
  • Leading the infrastructure modernization and simplification effort including transition to Cloud services
  • Overseeing all incidents on the area of infrastructure and end user devices resolution, ensuring they are resolved efficiently while working across functions and providing strategic input to ensure any underlying issues are fully remediated
  • Providing direction on what emerging technologies should be incorporated into infrastructure products and services to successfully deliver overall technology strategy
  • Developing and instantiating technical policies, standards, and standard operating procedures
  • Managing vendor relationships
  • Handling and carrying out established departmental budgets and goals
  • Leading, managing and coaching the team

Your ideal profile:

  • Master degree or bachelor in engineering, business, finance, economics, IT or equivalent
  • 8-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking, cloud journey, telecommunications
  • Solid experience in end user support management is a must have 
  • At least 4 years of proven people management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in both planning and execution roles in complex technology environments
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools like SolarWinds, networking Cisco and Service Now or other tools (Dynatrace, Nmon)
  • Experience in budget planning and financial management
  • Excellent Ms Office skills
  • Fluent English
  • Ability to work proactively and independently with strong pragmatic approach
  • Team player with very good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
