                       Head of Creative Design Triumph Brands - Japan

 

Role Purpose

The Head of Creative Design set, designs, develops and implements the creative look and feel for the product collection across Japan. The role is a key player in driving innovation and new business opportunities.

The purpose of the role is to deliver a Japanese creative vision, in line with the Global Creative vision driving the look, feel and taste level, in line with our Design DNA principles throughout the product design process.

The HOCD is a high level female consumer professional who has the strong ability to balance creative art with commercial science.

 

Areas of responsibility 

  • Drive the Triumph Global Design DNA and Process across Japan to continuously provide opportunities and sources of growth , and deliver against the Corporate and Business Unit KPI’s and Targets
  • Continuously drive the Japanese Creative Design positioning and values across the business and within the organization which stems from the strategic and seasonal trend and direction platform.
  • Maintain the best in Japanese Creative Design Team structure which inspires and engages the Triumph employees to support design and creativity in the business.
  • Ensure that the Creative Design strategy and guiding principles of the Triumph Business Unit are embedded and aligned across the operating Region of Japan delivering one Creative Design proposition within all three product categories of IA, HW & LW across color, fabric, trim and style.
  • Implement the skills benchmark for the Japanese Creative Design Organization across our Core Competencies of Trend, Color, Design, Fit Understanding and Leadership principles which engages the broader organization and provides a continuous stream of Creative Design talent to the company.
  • Provide and direct the operating system framework across the Japanese Creative Design functions of Design Managers, Trend/ Color Designers, Product Designers, Print and Pattern Designers and Graphic/Presentation Designers.
  • Partner and collaborate with the Product Development to ensure that we are consistently delivering against the Service Leader Corporate proposition via efficient processes, reduced time to market and engaging and inspiring product offers across all channels for our consumers.
  • Deliver clear creative and design concepts which provide incremental growth opportunities via consumer and distribution segments and consistently set the benchmark for European markets in terms of innovation.
  • Utilize exceptional understanding of the female clothing and Creative Design business units to provide insights and deliver competitive advantages and economies of scale for Creative Design Triumph.
  • Jointly establish and foster a collaborative, inspiring and energetic leadership style that promotes initiative and entrepreneurial thinking in line with the corporate shared values of honesty and trust.

 

 

Requirements 

  • 10 years+ experience in the Intimate/Apparel/Fashion Industry
  • 3/5 years+ Senior Management
  • Strong leadership and team management experience
  • Ability to think strategically and commercially on a regional level
  • Cross Functional relationship expertise
  • Functional expertise in Creative Design
  • Educated to degree level +
  • European market knowledge necessary
  • English essential / other language +
  • High drive + result orientated
  • Exceptional consumer and competitor understanding
  • Ability to inspire via strong presentation & communication skills
  • Highly self-motivating and organized
  • Able to travel frequently
