Role Purpose

The purpose of the Head of Marketing China (HMC) role is to design, develop and deliver the short and long-term marketing strategies for China based on business and consumer insights for the entire Asia Triumph Marketing portfolio, and to identify the right allocation of the regional marketing funds in China. He/She will be also accountable for communicating the marketing strategy across the country’s Marketing organization as needed and getting alignment from the Brand and Sales leadership team in the country.

The HMC is a strategist who leads all the marketing aspects in China, collaborates and communicates with multiple disciplines as well as a variety of outside business support parties. He/She brings an outstanding sense for consumer insights, behaviors in marketing as well as an advanced degree of analytical skills in order to drive the efficiency of any marketing investment.

Main Responsibilities:


  • Design, develop and drive Triumph China’s Strategic Marketing Plan and Process that continues to provide consumer focused opportunities and sources of profitable growth, delivering against the Corporate and Business Unit KPI’s and Targets.
  • Continuously develop and drive the Brand marketing positioning and values in the country.
  • Develop a world class China Marketing Organization structure, which engages consumer-minded marketing professionals to drive a Brand Led Consumer Focused culture and commercial approach, based on clear roles and responsibilities.
  • Develop and implement an operating system framework to ensure that the Brand Marketing strategy and guiding principles of the Triumph Business Unit are embedded and aligned across China, delivering effective and innovative marketing strategies and best-in-class media strategies aligned to target audience, brand KPIs (including market share, brand awareness, brand preference, brand recognition, media value, etc.), brand values, and positioning.
  • Develop and implement smart digital marketing strategies and plans to ensure the brand is taking the on trend approach to reach the right TA in right platforms with right contents.
  • Lead and drive marketing activities to drive the traffic to both online and offline channels.
  • Protect brand image across all channels and customer couch points to make sure all communications are on brand and aim to increase the brand equity.
  • Work with EC team closely and lead EC marketing to drive traffic for online channel through effective in-site paid media and content marketing.
  • Role model the skills for the Regional Marketing Organization across 7 core competencies, leadership principles and functional marketing competencies including Long-term Brand media strategies, annual marketing planning, development of seasonal media buying strategies, annual social media plan, EC content marketing and paid media plan.
  • Drive and lead internal and external agencies to develop China’s marketing programs.
  • Collaborate with the key marketing staff functions including Digital marketing, Brand communication, Retail Marketing, EC team, Brand merchandising, Brand Creative, Visual Merchandising to ensure that we are consistently delivering against the Service Leader Corporate proposition via efficient processes, reduced time to market and engaging and inspiring shopping experiences linked across all touchpoints for our consumers.
  • Develop China’s planned brand marketing concept that provide consistent brand experience of Triumph via translate situation analysis, brand equity study, media and consumer trends to actionable insights that contribute to the localization of the global marketing strategy.
  • Utilize exceptional understanding of women’s apparel to provide insights and deliver competitive advantages and economies of scale for Marketing Triumph.
  • Jointly establish and foster a collaborative, inspiring and energetic leadership style that promotes initiative and entrepreneurial thinking in line with the corporate shared values of honesty and trust.
  • Fully manage the Advertising & Promotion budget, VM budget and EC marketing budget in the country to ensure efficient allocation of funds in line with the country by country sales development outlook, and provide budget spending allocation on country level across consumer touchpoints.                  

Main Requirements:

  • 8 years+ experience.
  • 4 years+ Senior Marketing Management covering full marketing function including EC marketing, Digital marketing, Brand marketing, Retail marketing.
  • Strategic thinking and commercial mindset.
  • Extensive consumer and competitor understanding.
  • 4-year top leadership experience in a large market.
  • Cross Functional expertise in Marketing management.
  • Experience with strategies & concept development, media strategies development, media-neutral planning, integrated brand marketing planning, media setting KPIs and tracking ROIs.
  • Educated to master degree level +.
  • Solid marketing experience, background in working at both HQ and Country level is preferred. Additional product management experience is a plus.
  • High drive + result oriented.
  • Experience in beauty / women’s apparel business is a bonus.
  • Strong commercial understanding.
  • Ability to inspire via strong presentation & communication skills.
  • Excellent drive, judgment, creative insights and understanding of branded aesthetics.
  • Proactive, practical, hands-on approach and attention to details.
  • Experience with high-caliber agency management and agency processes.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and influencing skills.
  • English and Mandarin essential / other language +.
