                                                                                    Social Compliance Officer


Purpose of the Job:

A social compliance officer is pivotal in facilitating our social compliance program by visiting both our third party suppliers and own PCs, monitoring their social compliance, supporting them with their root cause analysis, corrective action planning and capacity building in order to sustainably improve their working conditions.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Follow up with factories that have non-compliances and actively guide and support factories for improvement
  • Conduct factory visits for the purpose of on-site verification of non-compliance, evaluation or pre-assessment if necessary
  • Manage audit requests, audit scheduling and reporting and coordinate with audit firm to keep track the audit status
  • Conduct trainings and lead workshops on social compliance and factory compliance where necessary
  • Maintain up to date information on relevant law developments, trends, industry initiatives and develop a collection of documents and tools to support factories in improving their social compliance issues
  • Manage and maintain supplier information up-to-date in the database system and provide administrative and clerical support to the social compliance manager


Your ideal profile:

  • 2 years of experience in social auditing, as compliance officer/staff, in the textile or related industry in China or in South-East Asia
  • Extensive knowledge of BSCI, SA8000, WRAP and ETI requirements and regional labor legislations
  • Master's or Bachelor Degree in business, social sciences, compliance, industrial engineering or related field
  • Ability to work and communicate with both internal and external parties to adapt tactics and means to facilitate social compliance
  • High negotiation skills, proof of training and practical experience required
  • Language skills in Mandarin and English (fluent in both written and spoken)
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, in particular MS Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to travel
