Our headquarters in Heubach, Germany, is looking for a highly motivated

                                                             Junior Product Manager (f/m/d) (100 %)

Roles & Responsibilities:          

  • Grow sales via good products, new concepts and reliable deliveries
  • Receipt and clarification of all style/design briefings from customer
  • Select the right production partner in terms of price, quality and reliability for each product in alignment with Sourcing Manager
  • Handover and clarification of style/design briefings to supplier
  • Manage samples and submissions and approvals (Prototype, size set and Salesman samples);
  • Lead Fit and Design Meetings with customers (in English)
  • Actively seek, explore and provide options on price and product engineering
  • Resolving MOQ issues
  • Issue resolution between customer and suppliers
  • Identifying and, if necessary, specially addressing high risk products
  • Color Management – lab dip and artwork approvals
  • Manage and report the on-time performance of critical path milestones related to PD functions (i.e. on-time sample approvals, on-time price submissions and agreements, etc.)
  • Claim Management, avoid failure costs etc.
  • Leading Meetings with customers

Your ideal profile: 

  • Diploma or University Degree preferably in a Garment or Textile related area
  • Technical Skills & Understanding of Intimate apparel
  • Technical skills:
  • Technical product skills and understanding of fabric/garment construction and pricing structures
  • Strong understanding of Product Development functions and processes
  • Ability to comprehend and translate designer’s brief, as well as ability to foresee product complications and provide alternatives
  • Know-how of textile and garment manufacturing processes would be an asset
  • Understanding of additional operational areas like Quality, Post Order Development, Compliance, etc.
  • Language Skills: fluent - written & spoken English, German is a plus
  • IT proficiency: MS Office (Excel and PPT, good knowledge)
  • Other skills: Negotiation skills, Co-ordination skills, Communication skills, Customer- and Service Orientation
  • Confident in Meetings and during Presentations

We offer a maternity cover contract for 1 year with the option of extension
